Your internal CD player will work fine.
If you have an external CD changer, you would need to get a y-splitter melbus cable so the iMIV would work simultaneously with the factory CD changer.

Re: Another Imiv question? (ATXS60R)

I put the IMIV in my '04 V70R and am very pleased. You keep your CD functions completely. I have the in dash NAV so I went ahead and got the added tweak to allow me to use my NAV screen to watch movies/videos. It's a good product. They now offer a cable that allows for the newer generation ipods to charge and play video whereas the older cable (like the one I have) did not. I keep meaning to order the newer cable but I think I just don't want to run another cable in this f'n heat...
Get the IMIV, you'll enjoy it.
