I just found out from my Volvo dealer that I have to replace the angle gear in my xc90 which has 73k miles on it. They stated this was the first one that they had seen with this problem. I know it seems to be a problem with other models, is there a best course of action, i.e. a direction to go to to complain, customer service at Volvo? I am looking at a 3,000 to 4,000 dollar repair bill.
Thanks

why did it fail? If it was due to fluid leak which lead to the failure then you can try to go through volvo. But if it is due to incorrect tire size or air pressure then there is not much you can do except try and price around. I have never seen an angle gear just fail. I am assuming it is a 5 cyl. Good luck.
