So i was noticing that the R was leaving me reddish brown fluid on the floor of the garage this last week and i got around to looking at it. It appears that its coming from where the angle gear meets the transmission (M66) and is seeping from the space between them. I just had my angle gear replaced less than 500 miles ago and i was wanting to ask if this looks like an issue with the seal/gasket between them or if it's something different that i should be aware of. Thanks!

Probably inner axle seal, but you won't know until you pull off the angle gear

I would second the inner axle seal. That reddish brown color is not what I would expect to be in the Angle Gear.

That axle had to come out and go back in when they worked on the Angle Gear.

They probably nicked the seal.

Thanks for all of the help guys. Is it safe to drive right now? It would have to go about 15 miles.
