Has any one seen the headlights like this before...is 2009 the first year to have the vertical bar that lights up? I'm calling it snake eyes...volvo's version of angles eyes and it looks pretty sweet at dusk!!

Re: (carreragt7)

Thanks. Not sure if you have your DRL's disable or not but either way if you can remember or if you still have DRL's did or do your rear parking lights get activated by the DRL's? Mine seem to and while I can live with DRL's I don't like having to have the parking lights on along with the DRL's.

So this is an R design??
im confused what separates these from the non r design?? same engine as other v50s, but styled differently?

In the U.S., all T5s are R-Design as of MY 2009. Here's what R-Design adds (U.S. OSD specs):

Auto dimmed rear view mirror with compass
Ground effects package (front/rear spoilers and side skirts)
Roof rails, silver bright
Blue face instrument cluster
Leather steering wheel with aluminium inlay and R-Design badge
Sport floor mats with accent piping
Décor inlays, Aluminium
Matt silver accent exterior mirror housing
Sport pedals
Dynamic sport suspension (AWD)
Memory function for driver seat Upholstery, Leather /Flextech with embossed R-design
Electronically controlled all-wheel drive system
Polished exhaust end pipes
Wheels, 17" alloy "Serapis" with 205/50 Michelin A/S tyres
Grill with matt silver surround and R-design badge
Rear roof spoiler
Leather gear shift knob with aluminium inlay

Re: And finally washed it and here are the pictures of the new one!! (S40Racer)

Thanks everyone. My current plans and what I have on hand are BSR stage 1 and Opti-flow...tint later on this year and that will probably be about it until she's paid in full.

Kentis: I don't have anymore pictures of the lights right now I'll try to snap a few later once it's a little darker here.

Nice pics of the car; I love a clean silver wagon. Your pictures of the Yokosuka context made me "natsukashii" (nostalgic)... One of my best friends lives in Green Heights near the JR Nagasawa station. I miss Japan and wish I could go back more often.... and BTW, I totally approve of your WagonR - I think it's the coolest of the Kei cars and it's probably what i'd end up driving on those tiny Japanese streets. Even a V50 seems huge in Japan.

So it's difficult for me to tell from the pic you posted with the lights on, but does the vertical part actually have a light in it, or does it just give the illusion of being lit from a reflection from the lowbeams?
