Grounded out hard last week in a friend's garage.

doesn't look too good does it



is it supposed to be bent like that?

Looks like it took some damage already. You should've taken it off a long time ago!!!

190k on mine and it still provide aerodynamic downforce I suppose. Haven't crashed yet! Or is it there for some other reason?

the funny part is i've scraped it twice now and it wasn't even holding the exhaust at that point and it would just rattle.

Search "Exhaust Bracket of Death" or "EBD". There are an incredible number of threads and posts describing what it is, what is isn't, and why it should be removed.

is it absolutely necessary? the exhaust seems to be well supported as is. also i don't want make whatever rain squeal i have worse by pushing the resonator up further.

Should look like this, and should be replaced with something like below.

Quite honestly, that isn't necessary as if your exhaust were to droop, you might as well put that cheap change towards getting that fixed.....Or go custom like me and never have to worry about a flange again!
