I know. On most cars easy task. On my s60, seems to be down there and not much room to work. I've searched and cant find a thread... Anyone know where to start? Can i go in from the wheel well? Or do i have to try and get my hands down there?

pretty easy, all done from the front of the car

1 disconnect battery
2 remove radiator fan for extra room
3 remove serp belt
4 remove PS pump
4 disconnect lines from the back of the alternator
5 unbolt the alternator ( a couple of bolts on top, loosen bolts shared by the ac compressor
6 remove alternator by moving it to the drivers side along the radiator

install in reverse order, make sure not to spill PS fluid. super flammable

good luck!

edit: you'll need to remove the OTE piping

PM me an email where I can send a copy of the VIDAS page regarding alternator replacement.

It can all be done from the top of the car. I lifted mine because I'm taller than most, but not needed
