Will a thorough dealership upgrade cars on lot with latest software patches or will they simply wait for a customer to complain about software issue after the car is purchased and off the lot if an issue occurs? When I purchase my '07 S40 I want to make sure I am driving away with all the latest patches. Will simply saying patch it up before delivery be sufficient or am I going to need to provide all of the patch numbers first? I guess I should scan through the TSB list for the model to make sure I have covered everything.
Thanks!

Re: All the latest software updates at delivery time? (treacherous)

Your Volvo will be fully updated at the vehicle processing center as it is offloaded from the overseas carrier, and checked again before it's delivered to you by the dealer. Have no fear - it will be completely ready to go.
Don't fret over TSBs on a new car. By the time a TSB is in place, the fix has been on the manufacturing line for some time. Most TSBs are about older issues anyway.
Tom.
