Aside from recently hearing the details about how Jim got screwed in the whole Alamo/Svenske debacle, I don't know what ever came of most people's issues with Alamo...whether they just stopped hearing from them, Alamo liquidated, people gave up, etc.
Ironically, I came across this item for sale on eBay from a store in "Arlington, TX". Isn't Alamo out of Arlington? I thought this information might be worth posting as a means of contact (if appropriate)...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting
I don't know if the seller is, in fact, Alamo or just some other vendor in TX, but those spacers look awfully familiar (and they have a bunch of them).

-Eric

They also have 11 engine pulleys available and 1 of Jim's airfilters.

are those pulleys any good? i mean, does anyone have one installed and if so - did they notice any gain in performance?
if i recall..richard had plans to make the pulley smaller...but due to problems sourcing a belt..he ended up getting a set of pulleys made that were the STOCK diameter, only lighter...so gains wouldn't be as ddramatic...i was curious as to whether there were ANY gains to be had with that setup..
anyone bought one and put it on? be honest..was it worth it?

Re: (JonnyEnglish)

Does anyone know if these will actually get shipped? Also will they work on an S40 with Evolve R5's. I'd love to get a pair or two at this price. TIA

When I had my R, I had gotten it right after the svenske downfall... since then I had made several transactions with alamo. All were smooth and straight forward. One was through ebay for the spacers.

Re: (R_Rated)

Isn't this the same guy who made a fmic for the R's?
Some insane overkill flow rate of 900 cfm?
(Actually, there's nearly no such thing as too much flow)
I was thinking of making own but kinda got talked into saving money
it would take to develop one off proto and hope it sold as a kit later.
Was thinking of getting this one in 'production' instead.
I wrote him about it but never got a response.
Anyone with some insight?

My advice when dealing with a company that has been involved with the history (svenske) is to use good judgement untill you know them. Nobody will ever know the WHOLE story... I personaly would not make a large purchase on my first dealing with them. Not just alamo but any company with "rumors".
