I was wondering if there would be enough interest in air vent gauge pods? I would be willing to make vent pods. These pods will fit all P2 cars. They look like this

Here is the link to my thread http://forums.swedespeed.com/z...08503
The vent pod may look a little messy, but that was the first pod I had ever made. Right now I am in the process of making a vent pod for a SS member. I will be willing to make these for $100 shipped in CONUS. PM if interested.

Re: Air Vent Gauge Pod (bpray9223)

Also, there is a second option. You can send me your vent assembly and I can use that to make the gauge pod. The price for this option will be around $55-60

VERY impressive! Would you need the customers' gauge itself to ensure fitment within your frame for best results?

Let me know if you want me to make you one.

Here is my vent pod. Sorry for crappy cell pic. Pic was taken when I was wiring the gauge so its was not sitting all the way in.

I was never a fan of vent gauges as I'm a fan of my vents...but props on a nice installation.
I'll be having my gauge installed with the CFW Door Pod this week.

Re: (bpray9223)

+1 for interested in the air vent pod. I don't like IPDs blob-pod, and I think CFWs pod, while it is the nicest, is going to be a damn sight too labour intensive.
One question, what is the black ring around your gauge? Is that a something that belongs to just that type of gauge, or will that be how you make it for all??

Im sure its gonna be the same for all the gauges. The ring covers large area and when he cuts the vent fin, he has alot of space to cover the messy glue

Re: (s140s)

The glue actually won't be messy. The first one I made I doused the thing in glue to make sure its in there good. But that black ring you ask of is actually part of the plastic ring I use. The lip on it allows the ring to sit more firmly in the vent. It also makes it easier to make and it holds the vent slats in there place. Let me know if you are interested.

Re: (bpray9223)

I was just out in my garage working with the ring and vent, and I figured out a way to make the vent pods so that there is no black ring on the outside. Let me know if you are interested now.

Brian,
I'd be up for one. When IPD gets more of their gauges in I'll move forward on this with you.

I would prefer a pod that will fit in the cubby next to the radio. I dont want to find scrap plastic to make it myself, so if one was premade that would be better IMO. Anyone else think that is better? plus i live in the desert and need all the air vent i can get.

It's a VERY clean piece and beautifully integrated. This would be my first choice in mounting the boost gauge vs. the blob pod, a-pllar pod, or cubby location.
thorne, there's another thread in the R forum right now about the cubby installation.
edit: found it thorne:
http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=122889
