Hello - Any one have experience with a drop in type k&n high flow air filter in the t5 ? Time for a air filter change & considering this option.

No performance difference. Just convenient since it's washable and cheaper in the long run.

considered it.

but no real performance gains, possibly more gunk getting by and clogging stuff downstream (it's been reported so not just theoretical) and lastly, the time & hassle of cleaning and re-applying oil just didn't make it seem worth it over simple, quick, cheap oem-style filter changes

Got a drop in K&N for my S40 a few weeks ago and even paired with an ECU spacer, the performance noticeability is very limited. I really bought it for the convenience of never having to buy another OEM paper filter, lol.
