Recently my air bag warning light came on and it gives me a message that i need to repair it urgently ... I realllly dont want to go to the dealer to get it fixed ... $$$$ and i hate that red light on my dash and that yellow " airbag disabled " sign over head .. anyone have this problem and what should i do about it ??

Is it the passenger airbag warning? I think that is covered under an extended warranty thingy because the sensor is malfunctioning. I'd call Volvo Customer Care and see...

Well most generic scan tools wont be able to read these volvo specific codes so odds are a dealer visit will be required. Im sorry you guys dont have a dealer that does free code scans. Half hour charge is usually standard.<p>Hard to diagnos these kind of issues without trouble codes. Too many air bags and sensors in these cars to pick one out of a hat <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/wink.gif" BORDER="0">

i had 2 passenger air bag sensor's go bad in my 06, also if you moved your seat all they way up or back it can unplug the sensor so i would check that also
