I have a FWD 2012 XC60 T5, with the 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder engine and 6 speed Powershift transmission. The initial acceleration is very aggressive and jerky, often causing the front tyres to lose traction for a couple of moments. After that, the trans shifts beautifully.
Is it possible to make any adjustments to the torque converter to dial down the initial acceleration?

Does that motor have a torque mount? Upgrading the tq mount on my T6 3:0T greatly reduced drivetrain lash which had made it hard to pull away smoothly due to the driveline movement poorly controlled by sloppy mounts. With a stiffer torque mount, I found it much easier to drive smoothly without having to work so hard at it. It made the very sharp throttle response feel much more linear and easier by far to modulate. If it’s available on that car, you could either do a poly insert which stiffens the stock mount, or replace it altogether with a poly mount from IPD. My torque mount was already sloppy at around your mileage and the upgrade was a massive improvement.

Is this what you are referring to?

Yes. The upper torque mount on the 3.0T looks like that and you can get poly inserts to fill the voids in rubber of the big end of the mount which greatly reduces drivetrain lash, or you can get a replacement with full poly bushings on both ends. I’m not sure what’s available for the DriveE but inserts are available for the 3.0T tq mount from Powerflex, available at Viva Performance, and the replacement upgraded mount from IPD USA.

Well, I checked my car and it does not have that particular mount. It's a pity, because I could have replaced it even with my limited mechanical skills :)
My engine is the B4204T7. I have attached some photos of the engine bay.

I'm not as familiar with your Powershift transmission as I am with the Aisin transmission used in other P3 Volvos. Can somebody tell us if it's related to the disastrous Ford units?

When you mention the transmission service at 61,000km, did it include software, fluid drain, or a fluid flush? Could you elaborate on the nature of the work performed?

Yes, it is related to the Ford transmission. The transmission was flushed but did not include a software update
