The Swedish magazine Aftonbladet did a winter comparison test of the new Audi A4 2.0, BMW 320i, Ford Mondeo 2.0, Mercedes C200, Volvo S60 2.4, and Volkswagen Passat 1.8T. The whole purpose of this test was to find out which was the best all around car in winter conditions.
The Volvo was first overall with total 18 points, Audi second with 14 points, Mercedes third with 13 points, Ford fourth with 12 points, BMW fifth with 10 points, and VW sixth with 8 points.
Swedish Tranlation: That's it, Volvo lights/wipers were proper for removing sticky and dirty stuff. Very much, greatly, good, excellent warmth of the ventilation system. The Volvo S60 makes no dissapointment in testing, and no bad things. A sure, certain, safe, wintermobile.
In comfort (komfort), the Mercedes was best, the Volvo and BMW came in second. In driving (att köra), the Volvo was the best, and the Audi and Ford came in second. In warmth (värme), the Audi came in first, the Volvo and Ford were second. In lights (lyse), the Volvo was best, the Audi and Mercedes came in second.
Sorry, my Swedish translation needs some work.
