I have not changed out the deck, because I put in a woodgrain kit on the dash, but i did add speakers. I put in 2 12inch JL W3 subwoofers. They are powered by a 600 watt PG amp. The box is a Audio Bahn custom box with vinel exterior, and a Audio Bahn Digital capasitor which regualtes the power drain. As soon as i get my darn scanner fixed I will post pics of it. In the near future i might be tempted to put in a flip down Dvd player in the car.

Im not sure where you are from, but if you know of a custom stereo place near you (Not GoodGuys or circut City They will rip you off) they will use the origial face plate, cut out a piece so a custom deck could fit. I saw it done to a car that had a similar deck dimensions to the S60 and it looked quite nice, personaly i would just get the woodgrain kit, and keep the face stock, because if you do have the audio upgrade taht came from the dealership, i beleive you have 8 speakers, and most faces only power 4. This would then require you to get another amp just for the component speakers, and then you would need another amp for the subwoofers. If you do decide to get the face, an option would be to mount the face on the top, and then mount an equalizer on the bottom. Or go all out and get a huge dvd screen and be big ballen!
