Just curious, Ive been considering getting an aftermarket grille and was wondering how hard/if possible it is to keep the Volvo Emblem from the stock grille. I personally like the MS design grille, but if anybody has done this to any grille before and knows what its required please just let me know.

I tried to put the stock slash on my mesh grille...
it will fit fine. The stock "clips" will actually help in securing the emblem on the aftermarket mesh. I found that you have to remove about half a centimeter or so from each end of the slash, with a Dremel or something.
The honeycomb on the stock grille is flush with the front of the rim, where as on an aftermarket mesh grille, the mesh is offset to the back of the rim. So you have to grind the slash down to make up for surface area and make the angles work.
I hope that makes sense... after you clip it in, you just need to secure it with something like a 3M emblem adhesive, which is at Wal Mart or anywhere else.
