Aftermarket CD Changer For S60?

699 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  T5Tom
I just ordered a 2002 S60 T5 which is coming with the single CD in-dash unit (which sounds pretty damn good for a stock unit, much much better than the stock on the A4 I currently drive). Anyway, wondering if this comes with the wiring to add an aftermarket CD changer? Is there anyone out there that added a CD changer to their S60 which is controlled from the stock unit?

Thanks! Jfilez

Yes, but it was installed by the dealer. The T5 does have the wiring built-in already, however, in order for the radio to control the remote changer you have to put in a software modification into the radio. This requires some special tools and also means that the serial data interface to the aftermarket CD changer had better be an EXACT match to the dealer-installed unit otherwise it won't work.

I know it's no help, but my cd changer works very well. Good luck
