Hello,

Is there a replacement remote for the 1997 850. The original Volvo part is just not very good. I have gone through 2 sets, and they seem to go through a set of batteries per month ($15/month in batteries!). Any suggestions other than from the dealer, or one from ebay.

Nope.
Your batteries should last for several years
If the remote is old/original, perhaps, but a new one should last
