I live in Northern Virginia - Washington DC area - and own a low mileage 1995 850 Turbo which I am looking to sell.

I noticed that several people who have posted live in the same general area and am wondering if anyone can advise me as to the best method for selling the car privately and what would be a reasonable price to ask for the car. The car is in excellent condition and has had new tires, brakes and battery very recently.

I have had some good luck using the Washington Post, http://www.classifieds2000.com and http://www.autotrader.com . The last two are free services and C2000 offers picture hosting also. Good luck.

Thanks for the response - any thoughts regarding pricing? I notice that the Washington Post ads seem to be all over the lot as far as price is concerned.

What George has said is pretty much the best route to go. I can also help, I am directly tied in with a local dealer (of cars

) and the Volvo 850's we have had in the past usually have sold within a week or so. If you are interested, we may be able to make arangements for you. The dealership is located in Gaithersburg, MD and is a small two man show. We sell mostly eruopean cars and have primarly european (Bulgarian) clients.
