Greetings all,
Well, this egocentric posting is probably mostly for those who have been doing an OSD before and understand the excitement.
Our trip starts on Sunday, flying from Anchorage, Alaska to Seattle to board SAS to Copenhagen, and then on to Göteborg, landing at about 6pm on Monday. We will be picked up by Volvo and taken to the hotel.
Tuesday-being picked up by Volvo for transportation to the delivery center to get our new car at about 9am. Sign paperwork, then have lunch, and then start our adventure by driving north to Karlstad, Sweden to visit family for two days.
Thursday-drive south back to Göteborg to get on the ferry to Kiel, Germany.
Friday-Kiel to Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Saturday-Rothenburg to Salzburg
Four nights in Salzburg staying at this place http://www.salzburgroom.com
Venture out to Grossglockner Pass, and doing the tourist thing (this is my third time to Salzburg, but my wife's first).
Wednesday-start heading back north to Trendelburg.
Thursday-Trendelburg to Kiel to take ferry in evening back to Göteborg
Friday-Return the car at the delivery center (sniff)
Saturday-get on the flight back to Alaska
It is a bit compressed, but this is what we could handle this year. I am getting excited and hope for a good trip and adventure.
I hope to report in the midst of travel next week.
