I am the only one to inadvertently switch on the hazard lights while trying the select the advanced mode? <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/redface.gif" BORDER="0"><br>It generally happens when I decide to open up and need to keep both eyes on the road like on a highway access ramp or navigating through traffic. It always makes me feel like a fool for succumbing to my speed demons and most of all make drivers around believe that I am driving a pace car <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/rolleyes.gif" BORDER="0"> <br>It never last more than 2 or 3 flashes but really pisses me off <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <br>So I open up a little bit more to get away from those eyes burning my back <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0">

Hmm,<p>add some mods, then you won't feel like you need to be in advanced all the time. I personally like comfort mode.

eh,<p>I was joking and kinda serious <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif" BORDER="0"><p>The throttle response is much nicer, but with things like the IPD tune, FMIC, dp etc.... I find myself not pressing advanced much.<p>I'm riding on 35 Rubber on 19" wheels, Evolve springs, IPD TRack sways, QBM endlinks, and a few powerflex bushings. 0 toe, and I like comfort.<p>Also in California, on 19" wheels anything BUT comfort is really really really harsh.

I havent used comfort since i got my R, is it noticable over sport. Mine usually sits there unless i fell like opening it up and then i switch to advanced!!

i don't think it's good to go to other mode in a corner (or during sudden evasive maneuvering) .... the sudden stiffening could make the SUM go wacko and weird things could happen.<br>Both hands on the steeringwheel will get you farther than only one while the other just pressed a button <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/rolleyes.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/wink.gif" BORDER="0">

LOL man i forgot about the roads on the east coast. I grew up in NYC and Philly and i forgot how bad those potholes in NY were... Thank god we dont have the salt issue as on the east. Our Rs would hate that! How are you guys doing it out there.... winter storage?

No mods will give you the extra dampening or better throttle response.. not most tunes anyway.</TD></TR></TABLE><p>Springs, and sways with 19" rims give me better damping in sport then advanced unless the road is perfect and I am balls out at speed. <p>RICA tuned me such that they just about perfectly matched the throttle mapping in sport and comfort to advanced.<p>I only change for road conditions or attitude, not for performance.
