I've got a '19 S90 T5 with the base "performance" 10-speaker system. I've replaced all 4 door 6.5" speakers with Rockford Fosgate's R165x3. Huge difference. Now, I've noticed that there are speaker grills in my back window / rear shelf, but no speakers. Question(s).....
1. Has anyone ever added speakers to the rear shelf?
2. Wiring? Are there connectors / wiring harnesses back there?

I just got an s60 also with base audio and wondering the same thing. I doubt there is existent wiring back there but maybe the amp has some unused outlets?

How difficult was the install? I wouldn't mind replacing my 4 door speakers myself.

Sorry I can't offer you any info, but as another owner of the base 10 speaker system... did you get a solid improvement from JUST slapping in those 4 door speakers?? No additional amp or anything else added? Thanks.

I have a 2023 S90 with the high performance audio base system and mine doesn't have speakers on the deck ( shield ) either! I can't accept that a car of this range has such a bad sound in the back. if you turn off the rear sound on the radio system, you won't even notice the difference. It can't be... Volvo says that the S90 doesn't have speakers on the deck, is that true? Is possible to add these speakers?
