Hej everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had added Polestar to their used XC60; if so, did you just go to the dealership and add it? Could that coupon be applied to it being added to a used car?

Thanks in advance.

I did and I did it at the dealer. It made huge difference (Could feel it immediately)! Make sure to ask for a deal. And if you're referring to the 30% accessory discount then yes, you can apply it (up to 200.00 off).

What's the approximate cost of adding Polestar? I have a MY19 T8. Thanks.
Polestar tune is not offered for T8 in US. Money saved.

Huge difference on T5. It's another (much better) car. The best accesory I ever bought.
IN all modes, or just dynamic?

I was under the assumption they weren't going to release the T8 US tune because for 2020 volvo is going to have a Xc60 T8 Polestar engineered model

Let's see how they are going to play the strategy. P* Engineered cars are so limited, many will still buy the T8.
If they offer P* tune for T8, some of people who get T8 will pay for it. And some people couldn't get P* Engineered will be happy to buy a T8 and stay with Volvo.
So it is win-win.

If they don't offer P* tune, then nobody will feel happier. Plus, they already developed the T8 tune. Selling fewer copy is not as good as selling more.

I do not understand why the US market is limited, there is a Polestar T8 on EU market
Polestar for T8 exists in the market of Central America

What's interesting is that the MY2018 had 320HP and now has 303HP:

T8 Twin Engine Automatic AWD 2018 320 hp / 400 Nm POLESTAR: 334 hp / 440 Nm

T8 Twin Engine Automatic AWD 2019 303 hp / 400 Nm POLESTAR: 318 hp / 430 Nm

Now with Polestar there is less HP than before - factory model 318HP WS 320HP

Not sure where you're getting those numbers.. the Polestar T8 does over 400HP since the stock T8 is 400.

Polestar do not boost the electric motors, but only the T6 petrol

I hope you understand now :)

Hybrid now has 390HP gasoline engine + electric motors have 390HP (303 + 87) NOT STOCK 400in MY2019 , this is for MY2018

With the Polestar T8 model now has 405 HP (318 + 87)
MY 2018 T8 with Polestar has 421 HP (334 + 87)

If it's not clear to you now, visit Volvo's official website and Polestar

Maybe because of EPA in America...

So, didn’t get much of a chance to see any difference with Polestar yesterday.
I normally drive in Comfort mode. Do I have to be in Dynamic mode to see the difference? Dynamic mode is like sport mode on my last car...revs a bit higher, changes up a bit later, Polestar must allow more boost if it does what it claims
Nothing I can find suggests that one way or another. The dealer obviously knows little about it and there is no manual supplement.
