Outstanding photos; now, all we need is a bigger spread in a US publication...

Nice, I met some of the guys who are involved with Volvodrive magazine last year. Fun group. Not surprised you're getting more attention internationally than in America; nobody likes Volvos here lol.

Got some bad news for the east coast crowd. I was working through a way to make it out to Carlisle. Then I checked the date. It’s the same day as the iPd Garage Sale, and I can’t miss that. Is there another big event that warrants a trip? Not that coming to visit you guys shouldn’t be enough on it’s own, but to convince the unicorn that it’s a good idea, I should probably have more ammo.

Well, there is SCD in August or September up in Brookline, MA.
That looks pretty nice, but I'm sure it's a different dynamic.

I don't think I'd come from the west coast for Swedish Car Day. Carlisle is where all the stars go, so we can hang out for a couple days. SCD is over in like 4 hours.

The IPD conflict is an ongoing problem. Maybe we can get them to move it. The year I went too Volvodrive Treffen, it was the Monday following Carlisle, so I couldn't go to Carlisle that year. Fortunately it moves around since it's on some holiday that moves around, and I'll probably go to both next year. That said, it was worth missing Carlisle to take the opportunity to go to Volvodrive Treffen.

I wanna put some more racing inspired wheels on for the new look in the new season.

Pretty stoked on these too!

AMAZING Atom badges made by House Of Logos out of the UK !! Couldn't be happier. These are stage badges. Buy a custom part fabricated by me, get a green dot Stage 1. Level up to the Stage 2 red dot, then the Stage 3 gold dot. Ultimate Full Builds get the Uber limited Polished Copper Stage 4 badge. Can't wait until I get to see some out in the wild!

Used the tag line in the last week and again today and it's true in EVERYTHING.
"Nothing cool is easy, and nothing easy is cool."
I've had the work day from hell. I need to go home and have a tall drink, or maybe a short dark brown liquor one...

Maybe with the rain this weekend, I'll get a chance to listen to the podcast.
Love the badges.

Can everyone keep an eye out for this truck? Last seen in the Portland/Vancouver area. Was stolen a couple nights ago. Nothing is worse than someone taking all your hard work. Besides the livery, it's got a Volvo five cylinder in it. Please let me know if you see it.

Glad to see you are back at it with some new projects - I have missed ogling your craftsmanship. Sorry to hear about the Datsun PU - suckage to the max. Hopefully it will turn up in good condition.

Well, it's been forever since I updated here. Mostly I just drive the Amazon around and spend my efforts on my other projects, but I've done a couple things.

First off, the paint failed on the roof between the OEM paint and the OEM colored paint that was applied at some point in it's life. This is a risk you run when you don't strip down to bare metal. For now I just feathered out the delaminating area and vinyl wrapped the roof.

Next, I started down the path of V2.5.5 by converting the front hubs (rears will be done soon) to 5x100 (so I can retain one of the 4x100 lug holes) and installing the new brake setup and air ride. The rotor hats are for a Mini Cooper and have the correct offset and almost the correct center bore. Just needs a small hub ring. The calipers are rear calipers off of a Tesla Model S performance. These aren't the final version wheels or tire size (tires are close though). Right now the tires are crashing pretty hard, but I'm pretty sure more trimming, welding and painting will get me there.

As a refresher, here's the rendering of what my goal is (although, now it's likely to have a carbon roof as well).

Maybe there'll be some track days in it's future.
