Hello
On my drive from NY (Buffalo) to FL (Tampa) my air conditioning stopped working in Georgia it was SUPER hot that day and I rode with all the windows completely down - it was a long ride that day. The fan still blows air, only problem is it’s not cold.. It has always sat for weeks at a time and I’m wondering if the seals eventually just dried up and lost the refrigerant.
Recharge/recondition? What would you guys do here?
Thanks..!!

simple things first...and don't laugh.....is the compressor belt still on?...next, i'd hook up my a/c servicing gauges and see if there is any refrigerant in the system. you don't have to run the motor. Should be around 100 psi showing on the gauges, but you're just checking for any pressure. If no or little refrigerant, find out how it leaked . If sufficient pressure, find out why the compressor isn't coming on.
this is simple ,basic first steps.......
