The cargo configuration design on my V70 is such a nice touch to the overall utility of the vehicle. I recently purchased the cargo load bicycle holder. It was a little over $100 at vparts. It just snaps in with a breeze and holds two bikes upright (fork mounted) with the rear seat down.
It's a really shame that Volvo did not include this feature in the new XC60!

Re: About the super slick cargo configuration design on the 08+ V70/XC70 (DCPattie)

XC60 cargo area (with seats folded down) is probably not long enough to hold bikes in this manner.
BTW my wife's cruiser (Townie Balloon) will not fit in the V70 with the front wheel removed. Cruisers wheelbase is so looooong.

We also have the interior bike holder. It is great but not all bikes fits in there. My road bike is OK as long as I remove the bike seat but my mountain bike does not fit upright as it will hit the roof.
I would suggest you check if your bike will fit inside the car on its fork (front wheel removed) if you are considering getting this rack. It is a great addition to this very utilitarian car.
