About ready to get an 06 S60R, have a few questions please?

Hey Guys,

I found an 06 S60R near by that I'm looking into purchasing.

It's got 51000 miles, 6 speed, aero kit except for the front chin/valence whatever you call it.

It has the side skirts, spoiler and rear valence.

Graphite Grey on tan leather. Bluetooth, moon roof and six speed.

the asking price is 18,900 and the guy is somewhat flexible.

no warranty, first question is what do you think about the deal above?

as far as the warranty, volvo dealership here said to warranty it bumper to bumper to 87000 so essentially a 36k miles warranty is the max and they are asking 3200 bux for it, and the guy said that he is negotiable and can offer a better deal before the month is out.

thoughts? ideas? opinions and advice are welcome?

... instead of telling him to ask the question in another forum, where you will inevitably have *something* to say about the question, why don't you just answer it here?

My two comments - the price seems 'fair,' but if there's room to 'work,' take whatever you can!

The going rate on extended warranties has been steadily increasing, but you should be able to get one for a bit under $3K. You can also 'shop around' for the warranty - you can live in NY and buy the warranty from a dealer in CA. This is a question you'd want to ask in the "R" Forum though.

If u get him down i would say u have urself a good deal make sure u ask him to see carfax if u havent already !

basically a guy who had similar question to mine but different year and man it's making me hesitate about buying an R!
I love the Rs but i have the option between the R or a G35 coupe but i'd much rather the R
