AAOS 2.9 - Mirror Folding When Locked

I don't think I've seen someone comment on this but one of the 2.9 Release Note items states:

  • Added an option in Controls settings to fold door mirrors when locking the vehicle. Your choice will be connected to the currently used profile.

My '22 has been able to do that since version 1.8, the first version I had, and I have it enabled and it works.... So what is this item? Is it simply that the original setting was independent of profile and now it is?

It adds the control to enable or disable it. Previously, it just folded the mirrors always, you couldn’t turn it off if you wanted to.

They must have removed it and added it back. I recall seeing it when I first got ‘22.5. No idea when it disappeared as I had it turned on.
I think allpurposeben is correct. Its always been there - you just couldn't shut it off.

I've always had the option.... Never tried it because I needed the mirrors pulled in on some narrow side-streets. Are you saying I could switch control and it wouldn't do anything? I'm still on 2.5 and might go out to the driveway and experiment tonight. :)

Are you sure you aren’t thinking of the option to tilt the mirrors in reverse? I’ve always had that but never anything related to folding the mirrors.
There was no option to "not fold the mirrors" when locking the car. I'm 100% sure of it.

It would be nice if they also added an option that the mirrors unfold when the car is started or fold when you lock it. Sometimes you just need to get something from the car and unnecessary strain is put on the mirrors motors.

Oh my....yes,that's what it is! It's been a long week trying to get to the long weekend.

Mea cupla!
