Some of you may have seen an ad I put up, selling an 01 V70T5 5 speed with 61K miles.
As soon as I saw the car I "bought" I had the ad removed and have been fighting with the sale (auction) ever since.
Really a POS. They wouldn't take it back, I wouldn't pay for it and we were having a Mexican standoff.
Anyhow back to the story, the sale was going to run it tomorrow to see if anyone would pay what I did and take me out of it.
(I bought it title attached, which means the seller has 3 weeks to get me a good title or I can bring it back without any questions and get all my money back).
Tomorrow would have been three weeks, the title came in today.......
IT WAS FUBARED!!!
This means they can't provide me with a good title by tomorrow so my guy at the sale called me and said...
"We're taking you out of the sale and paying all your expenses to date"!!!
Talk about making my day (for once in my life something went well)

Re: A Volvo story (JRL)

BTW
If any of you see a 2001 V70 T5 5 speed, black, for sale on the East coast somewhere in the nest month or two...
PASS, even though it has only 61K miles or you WILL BE SORRY.

Trust me on this and don't say you were not warned.
If you must, LOOK AT IT and SMELL IT inside before you buy, do NOT buy this one sight unseen (as we dealers do all the time).

It's immediate grounds to return it, no questions asked.
These cars are supposed to be destroyed

Re: A Volvo story (JRL)

Damn, that sucks. Sounds like an all around bad situation. It's a shame that such a "low mileage" car is so undriveable.
FWIW, I could never tell you smoked by the car your cars looked/smelt.
