It never dawned on me until last week or rather I guess I knew this in the back of my mind but never thought much about it, that these transmissions use a regular clutch :rolleyes:
Perhaps two of them but yet still a clutch, and like a normal manual transmission....they WEAR OUT!

A friend had (just got rid of it yesterday on Ebay) a 2002 Maserati Cambiocorsa coupe with only 16,000 miles.
You say 16,000 miles, no big deal right?

It was going to need a $6000 clutch within a few thousand miles!
It was worn 80%.

(Neat thing about these is you plug it into the computer and it tells you how much clutch life is left).
So think about this when one of you buys a car with one of these transmissions as some of you probably will pretty soon!

the idea though is the cars using them... If you can afford the car itself. $6k shouldn't be all that much.

Ask porsche owners how much they love their dual clutch autos and all lol. There are alot of them put into the market because of that.

And the first couple years of boxsters due to their leaky rear main seals lol
