Square peg in a round hole afternoon with *Mrs* Prolix

The Jaguar is set to leave the collection next week, so why not go for a drive and pick up some supplies for a building project on the house?

Well, a 5 foot tall weed whacker box is not so easy to fit in even a largish coupe... Mrs Prolix was not amused, especially since the truck is already at the house for stuff we picked up for the same project yesterday...

oh wow, just remember you're not attempting to prove anything to me as much as you are trying to convince yourself. Self-deceit is just another word for self-image you know. Are your cars just coincidentally named Joseph and Sparkles?

okay, I'm done. What's the story with Sparkles and what's the plan? Is it also a wrecked car? Auction buy?

My Freudian slips are catching up with me. Who knows what my hurried key strokes and anthropomorphic naming tendencies will reveal? Stay tuned, my subconscious will soon be bared to the world!

In answer to the other question, yes, the new xc is purely about ingress and egress. I spent the week cleaning it and it has already had interesting parties looking at it.

This is some of current Swedecoins receiving attention this weekend.

The C30 getting some cleaning, S40 getting an engine, and xc70 being cleaned. As noted in previous conversations I do still feel I will make more money than Crossing Countries has accrued in cryptocurrency. If not, I'll be annoyed as my coins require a lot more effort to "harvest." Joseph is taking a bit of a back seat lately since I have nothing that I know that I *need* to do to it, but have been wrestling mightily on wheel options. I found a set of 20" Polestar wheels and I very nearly purchased them, but in the end didn't as I could not justify the cost in the automotive budget.

As a friend told me, "Prolix, self control is a muscle, you have to use it to make it stronger." So... I guess I will work on that.

Buy XRP Ripple!! Stay tuned... mewn soon!!

In other news... No dual exhaust on that XC...that makes it a 3.2? Love the color... Love your pstar wheels. I suggest a photoshoot with the pstar rims on your VX70?
Carporn. Speaking of which, what happened to your muscle??

Prolix quick question. Small hijack. What size tires would fit the ERAKIR for the XC70? What could I choose from? Where does the width end, and the height/wall? Looking for the limits. Eye for details in a way but not a technical guy. When it comes to cars at least. I started very late “with cars” and then only VOLVO. Thanks, you must know the answer.

You actually have a lot of variations on sizes that you can play from. I think the factory size would be a 235/45-19 but a 245/45 or a 255/40 will provide a lot more options for tires with minimal size increase. You can certainly go with a larger size tires as you actually have a good bit of room to play with without anything making contact. Of course larger is better and smaller is daft.

I know the car will accommodate a full xc60 size tire at 235/55-19, but that's getting to the far limits of size.

Though, on even further extremes, I was working on a friend's 08 and happened to have a set of 20's off an SPA xc90 sitting beside and couldn't resist installing them. They "fit" in that they cleared things and weren't rubbing when the car was rested on the ground but it looked wack. I'll see if I still have a picture saved somewhere...

My vote is pick the tire you want and find a size that's as close to factory as possible.

2011 R-D and nicely optioned too but the previous owner spent a few grand at the dealer and then ran it out of oil... I finished putting a 21k engine in it a few weeks ago.

235/45/19 it will be Prolix. Closest to stock R19 I guess. Hijack finished. Thanks for your feedback. Appreciate it.

Is that a buy/sell car or a repair job?
