first off, anyone with a stock TCV/BCS, can you do me a favor and look under your hood and tell me which colors for the vacuum lines go to where on the car? there are three colors, each is marked with a colored paint dot.
red.
yellow.
blue.
second, i have swapped out my stock ECU for a stock R model ecu for the purpose of gaining "r-spec performance". well i cant seem to get over 8-10psi of boost according to my autometer procomp boost gauge.
I have replaced the CBV with an upgraded piece from Viva performance, i have replaced all of the vacuum hoses with silicone ones as they were a bit old and spongy/cracked. Also installed a delco TCV and i *think* i performed the proper boost control relearn procedure (if there is one for a '96, i dont even know, i followed the procedure for the later model S70 turbo models) disconnected the ecu for several minutes to drain the capacitors, disconnected the batt terminals and touched em together for a few seconds also.
This was done over a month ago, i realize that volvos tend to take a WHILE to learn things, so i waited this long.
Most times the car will boost to 10psi and between shifts it peaks to 13-14psi. The r model ecu is supposed to boost to 12psi.
If the TCV isnt the problem (cant check that until i find out which hoses went where) then i will try swapping back to the original ecu.
Who knows maybe my gauge is off. I just teed it off of the hose going to the cluster, under the dash.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer.
also: all hose clamps are TIGHT as hell and i cant see any signs of any places it should be leaking from. if none of this works i guess i'll end up getting an RIP kit or something like that.
