My 1970 P1800 E is running real strong but like any old car it has a few issues.
1) The water temp gauge is pinning at max as soon as I start the car. Does this sound like a faulty sensor or a short in the wire?
2)Does anyone know where to find the cable pulls for the fresh air vents?
Thanks,
eric.

Re: A couple of more questions for you P1800 experts. (ktm_525)

If I remember right, the guage reads max with the wire shorted to ground.
Take the wire off the sender, it's on the top of the head on the riht side near the firewall. If the guage stays down it's the sensor.
If your looking for the fresh air vents pulls they are under the dash near the outside of the car on both sides. They don't do much.

Thanks for the sender info. With regard to the pulls. I know whehr they are located in the car, I was looking for a source to replace them. The old ones were coroded. I just picked up some generic cable pulls that look like they will work.
Another question: What temp thermostat?
