Hi all, i was told to try this forum because volvoforum cannot diagnose.

I have a 1999 S80 T6 with 105k.

it doesnt start unless i disconnect the battery. Then it starts up runs and drives great, but if i shut it off it wont start again (keeps cranking) until i dosconnect the battery.

Im not getting any codes either, which has me puzzled

Doesnt matter weather the car is cold or hot.
Ive tried all the keys.

Hope somebody can help. Thanks

How do you start the car with no battery? Maybe the voltage is too low where it's being measured. If you're jump starting from another car the voltage will be high. If you're jumpstarting from an external battery, I don't know off hand what the problem might be.

The battery is new, ive load tested it and all.
The car starts fine when the battery is disconnected then reconnected.

Ive tried jumping from another car, but that doesn't make a difference either.

Sounds like the immobilizer ring may be crapping out or the transponder in the key is failing.
