1999 S70 T5. Using the key fob or interior lock button will not unlock the back doors most times. It is a once in a blue moon occurrence when one or even both doors will unlock but the default seems to be staying locked. Anyone have this experience as well? Im getting mighty tired of starting the car, rolling down the window and reaching in to unlock the door...

Also, I am looking for a ten driver's side map light cover. Anyone have one?

Thanks!!

More than likely its the overload protection kicking in. Inside the lock actuator, there is a brass thermo switch that if it gets hot enough it will disable the locks. The way to bypass this is to remove the actuator, break open the cover, remove the motor and pull the switch out. Replace it with a small piece of 14 gauge wire. Its a bit of a pain but it works. I have had to do this on six locks between my 2 S70's. I think robert DIY has a video on youtube.

Refer to post number two, do all four doors, they will work amazing after that, bad design by Volvo. New actuators are around $350 a door so its a clear choice really.
