Daughter in Cleveland just called. Car won't turn over.

I did replace the B pillar two years ago.

Any things to look for other than the obvious (bad starter?)

Grounding fuses? Corrosion of terminal leads? Ignition problems?

Battery lights up the dashboard

replaced the B-pillar? you mean the B+ cable?

I would clean up the battery connections, make sure the cables are tight and row the shifter back and forth a few times. it could be a PNP switch going bad.

For what it's worth...I have had cases in the past where all my dash lights would come on when the key was turned on, but the car would not turn over. I cleaned up the battery connections and made sure they were tight and it solved the problem.

thank you for the replies.

Battery is 2 years old, but being checked now.

And I knew it was B cable, but somehow the brain got rearranged and said B pillar

Try moving the shifter around, from park, neutral, and back again. Try starting in all positions. If the PNP switch is toast, this might start the car.
