<br>Base = 168 HP<br>GLT = Light Pressure Turbo 190HP<br>T5 = High Pressure Turbo 236HP (Was known as a Turbo for the 850 models for years 1997 and ealier.)<p>You can see the turbo if you look under the hood, it situated behind the engine block. There is a inlet pipe that run above the engine that I assume would be exclusive to turbo models.

I have owned 2 1998 S70 T5 SE - I don't know exactly what the SE trim package meant - was it Special Edition or Sport Edition. From what I recall since I didn't buy them new - but they were the standard T5 - but the trim package included a wood inlay steering wheel and Alcantara "suede" inserts in the seating upholstery. I know they were available in 5 speed M but both of mine were automatic ( 3 speed I think) once had an SC900 the other only had the SC816. I think they had all the options as far as trip computer - cold weather package, TRACS, Sport Econ Winter... was this trim package unique to Canada as I haven't seen any in any US listings.

And maybe nice to know: there is a difference in horsepower in europe in the T5-R. For instance the Italian T5-R is a 2 litre with 210 hp.<br>And the normal one 2.3 litre with 250 hp.<p><br>We have also a S/V70 with 140 hp.<p>

This is incorrect. The only 850 ever delivered with 250HP is the manual 850R. The T5Rs have a an overboostfunction which increases output to 240HP when flooring the pedal, until then it is a 226HP ngine, I assume it has to do with the throttle position sensor, making the T5 and T5R differ only in ECU and what equipment beeing delivered standard. 850R Automatics had were delivered with 240HP engines. The Italian market was supplied with both T5s and T5Rs with the twolitre 211HPengines, but the T5R 2.0 still had the overboostfunction, cranking it up to 240HP. It all has to do with import taxes, apparently the Italians have some crazy fee once you get to a certain outputlevel. Here in Norway, the 2.0 211HP T5R is rated as a 240HP car because of the overboostfunction, but in Italy only as a 211HP car. Crazy.

However, I fail to see the relevance to this thread, seeing as the T5R was an 850 version, only delivered in 1995, and this beeing an x70-thread. Admin feel free to relocate this to wherever you see fit.
