Hi all,
I have a 1997 V70 T5 CD.
The memory buttons don't work on the drivers seat. All the buttons operate the seat individually and move to their relevant full positions in all directions.
I have also noticed that if you try to move 2 motors at the same time it doesn't work?
When you do press the memory button you can feel the seats try to move for a split second then it just stops?
I am right in thinking there is an overload relay somewhere for the seat? Could it be this at fault, i.e. if the seat draws more current than just one motor it is tripping out.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

These seat switches fail all the time.
Unfortunately you will have to search over there for a used one as over there we have switches for LH seats only available
or just buy a new one from a Volvo dealer

Re: 97 V70 - Electric memory seats - memory not working? (JRL)

Hi,
Am I right in thinking I could just test the switch module by shorting one of the switches out to see if the seat moves to it's position. I'm presuming the switches are just a 'push to make' type.
Thanks

You can, but I can guarantee you 99% that the switch is your problem
