90 DL Stereo -- Setting The Time

866 Views 9 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  devalmyth
With my new tach, and the small quartz clock working, I decided to use the time function on the stereo. Sadly, I have no manual on the stereo (didnt' come with the car). Can anyone tell me how to reset the time on the stock cassette player?

if the stero has a display button(dsp)then hold it down for a a little while (at least 3-5 sec) and usally it comes up with the clock flashing, try it with the radio on and off. just an idea...good luck
Unfortunately, it has no display button. Any other ideas?

I may be wrong, but I don't think there is a time function on the radio. That's why there's a clock in the instrument cluster. Refer to your manual if you think there's a clock, it should tell you how to set it.

Depends if they're talking about the same manual. Maybe there's a specific stereo manual, and then there's the owner's manual.

My solution: rip out the stereo, install aftermarket, set time according to instructions that come with new stereo.
I intend to put some sort of stereo in there be it CD/MP3 or Sirius Satellite when they come to DC.

This stereo does have a clock function. There's a really tiny button that activates it, and the clock is on when you're not changing channels. I've tried holding that one down for 30 seconds and nothing.

Maybe I should just disconnect the battery at 12:00.

How about turn off the radio, hold the clock button down and turn the radio on. This is of course just a guess.
actuly disconecting the power at 12:00 is not a bad idea!it would work...lol
