Misposted in the new V70 forum sorry for the double post

Are these the same?
I was told that the roof spoiler was a different part number and was TWICE as much as an 850 spoiler
I was under the impression these were the same piece.
Anyone know FOR SURE?

Nothing really there, at least to me none of those posts made any sense, a yes or a no would be great

Re: 855 and V70 rear spoiler. Are they the same (JRL)

Rear spoiler for wagon, with brake light, not painted, 850 wagon, V70, 1993-2000 #9184639
Rear spoiler for wagon, without brake light, not painted, 850 wagon, V70, 1993-2000 #9134941

May want to confirm these numbers, but it looks to me like according to these part numbers given at VS, the only difference in the spoilers would be whether or not they have the brake light or not but the 850 and V70 are listed as the same number regardless.

Ah, the the sedan spoiler p/n's are different than the wagon numbers.

Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean they are completely different spoilers though.

Anyone able to confirm these p/n's?

Re: 855 and V70 rear spoiler. Are they the same (OilAnalyst)

My dealer said they're different. One is $180 the other, $350 (V70) I think both fit, so whats the difference?

Neither should have a brake light (wagons). The only rear wagon spoiler that has a brake light are the P2 cars
What you wrote makes no sense, they (volvo) said one is for 850's and one for V70's, they BOTH can't be for 850 and V70s

Ok: The 2nd part number given doesn't exist as far as I can tell.

The first one refers to the rear spoiler and assembly for 98-00 V70s. list price is $289
I realize this doesn't exactly answer the question but it appears that the spoiler for an 850 lists at $179 and is for 94-97 only but I don't see a part number

This info is mostly correct - only the starting year for the wagons should be 1994 instead of 1993. Otherwise, same part numbers for 850 wagons and early V70's ('98 to '00).

What might be confusing is that in the on-line accessories page that dealers use, the new '01 V70 is always referred to as a '00.
