Can you tell me which turbo oil pipe you are using?
I don't know which one can clear the molding block on the engine.
Thx
The one in the picture I posted a couple pages ago is the RN line but it was reshaped to clear the engine block.

Transmission on the engine.
It's a pain in the butt to align the clutch. No tool for the alignment.
Sort out all these mess. This long delaying project can finally on the road again.

Nice progress. The first M56 clutch I did was on my dad's NA and he made an alignment tool on the lathe for it. Super helpful.

I would suggest swapping out the XC90 exhaust manifold for a Japanifold. You might have a lot of drone with the XC90 manifold and aftermarket downpipe.

You can see a whole box of alignment tools. None of them work.
I ordered one 850 alignment tool on internet. It fits the clutch shaft hole but doesn't fit the flywheel hole. It is too thin on the end.
I just use some masking tape and warp around the end to make it fit. It gives me some trouble when I trying to take it out. Because the flywheel hole is larger than the clutch shaft hole.

The exhaust manifold is from a 2000+ T5. It's good enough.

Somehow my car doesn't have a vacuum line diagram sticker.
I have no idea how the vacuum goes.

The connectors and sensors are color coded, grey and black. There is a boss on the trans case above the diff that it bolts to.

What Jared said, just match up the connector colors. Black should be the front, and grey the rear. However this assumes that the ones on the car currently are correct and haven't been swapped with generic ones.

Can anyone explain the cam timing adjustment?
I read the IPD instructions but still confusing.

". Non turbo intake camshafts have 0.020 inch more lift and 7 degrees more camshaft duration. The non turbo intake cam also starts its opening 4 degrees sooner than the turbo camshafts. So if a non turbo intake camshaft were to be used in a turbocharged engine, and the same overlap were desired, then the intake cam would need to be retarded by 4 degrees from the factory base setting."

It adjust 4 degrees for intake however there is 7 degree more duration.

"Non turbo exhaust cam shafts have 0.014 inch more lift (total valve opening) and 3 degrees longer duration (total time the valve is open). The non turbo exhaust cams start opening 2 degrees later than the turbo cam shaft. So to maintain the same overlap, a non turbo exhaust cam in a turbocharged engine would need to be advanced 5 degrees from the factory base setting."

Here it adjust 5 degree which is 3 duration + 2 later open.

Why adjust the degree differently?
How to reset to factory settings?
