Hi all,
I'm usually on the V50 forum, but am posting about a problem with the wife's 95 T5-R. Today, we were on the interstate, using cruise, at about 65 mph, and we came to a hill. Upon hard acceleration to maintain speed, the engine started to stutter and vibrate, almost as if it lost a cylinder. There was a definite loss of power.
This happened again later, once again under load and this time it triggered the CEL. This has happened twice before, and both times the shop failed to find any serious issue. Codes thrown were cylinder misfires, once on cyl 1 and once on cyl 3. They replaced spark plugs and air filter, reset the computer and all seemed fine for almost a year until now. Does this sound like spark plug wires?
When at cruising and lower speeds, the car runs fine, but when you ask it for quick pick up or put it under hard load, that's the problem...I'm thinking the wires may be bad. Any thoughts would really be appreciated!

If it's misfiring and you haven't tuned it up in a while, then yeah plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are the first thing to try.
