Just my 1/2 cent, non-techie opinion, but I don't think 100 octane will do squat in a car that isn't programmed to take advantage of it. I believe OEM programming is engineered to run most effeciently on 93 octane (98 RON), so unless your ECM is upgraded with a 100 octane program, I'd skip the additional cost and pray for the heatwaves to pass quickly. -Eric

i think many have found that the engine pulls timing in the heat to prevent detonation... higher octane will help this.
