Does anyone know how many '79 242 GTs were produced?

I had an '80 242 GT. It was totaled. That is one less on the road. I do not know how many where produced. ( I know this helps you tons ) The style that you have was produced from 79-80.

My GT was hit on the right rear quarter panel at around 50 mph. I had a trailer hitch bolted on the under carriage and that took out the left quarter panel. My brother and I beat the thing back into shape and I drove it for 4 years after that. It had 298K miles on it when I let it go.

I am not sure how to get that data.
