Hi all,

I've just bought a 99 V70R which has the standard deferred maintenance issues and some cosmetic ones (broken interior trim pieces mainly).

A friend has a 740 wagon that he's sending to the scrapper shortly and has offered me any parts off of it for free. Does anybody know off hand if there's any interchangeable parts between the 740 and V70R?

theres nothing that the 740 offers to a v70r. nothing is worth being reused. and nothing can be reused theyre completely different chassis. but grab all the parts and use them on a 940 or 740 if you buy one.

Valve stem caps for the wheels. Oh...................and the air in the tires.

But seriously, congrats on your puchase and good luck. I recently acquired a neglected 2000R that needs tons of stuff done, one step at a time.

I'll let him know. It was somebody else's project that was in the middle of an engine rebuild when he acquired it. Of course "in the middle of" means it was started years ago and then it sat until someone decided that it had to go.

Thank you! :)

FWIW the answer I've received is a resounding no on parts interchangeability.
