Our XC90 2.5T will be going in for its 60,000 mile maintenance in about 600 miles. Does anyone know what work will be done on it? We called the local Volvo dealer and they priced it at $400, which is alot less than I expected. They said they will change the spark plugs. Should we have the transmission fluid flushed? I do not believe it is included in the maintenance interval.

On another note, I must say how much I LOVE driving this car!! I learned how to drive on it, and usually drive it to school (dont want to take the S80 and put miles on it) I am a Volvoholic!

IMO, definitely a good idea to do tranny fluid as well as most other fluids at this point.

I just checked the maintenance booklet and they do a coolant flush also included, while checking the levels on all the other fluids. I will probably take it in b/w Monday and Wednesday for mom. My car also needs to get something checked out with the mirror, but thats for another model volvo. Thanks!

we took it in yesterday and received it last night. it ended up costing more because we had extra work done (rear brakes and new turn stalk switch). The total work for just the 60,000 mile work was actually less than $400. We say it is cheap because we spent over $600 on our suburban's 60,000 maintenance. The tech on the write up says we need to replace the rear tail gate supports. Can that be done at an independent Volvo center?

yes we did, saved about $60 dollars. is the tailgate supports the same as a tailgate strut? Which website does everyone use here to purchase genuine volvo parts/OEM parts?
