About to do my first oil change on this car and saw the chart in the owners manual:

130176


We are in Michigan where the summer temps range from 60 at night to 95 during the day. Thanks, climate change! Winters are still decently cold but rarely below -4F as shown. Does it make sense to do 5W-40 in the summer and 5W-30 in the winter?

For what it's worth I run 0W-40 all year and I've had no issues.

I actually ended up using 5W-40 thinking it was 0W-40. Sometimes numbers are hard. Either way, so much better than the black sludge that came out of the poor car.
