Check this out:
A custom built 1995 Volvo 960 Wagon. Motor Trend did an article on these called "Feiry
Swedish Meatballs". It seems that Newman and Letterman each got one and there were only 3 ever built, and this is the third one. It has a new 5.0 liter short block V8 built up and mated to Belle Superchargers producing 400hp, plus a manual transmission! Cool huh?
400HP 1995 960 Wagon on Ebay

-Drew
[This message has been edited by InDy (edited 03-13-2002).]

George,
That sounds really cool. I wonder what the history of these cars is and if they were ever run like 1/4 mile or 0-60. It would be interesting to see how fast these were considering 400hp is a lot of muscle.
-Drew

This is the closest I have to specs, except it's for a SC'd V8 in a 740.

I got a ride in the car today. The power is crazy, but totally smooth in delivery. You really don't realize how fast you are going.
The sound is pure hooliganism.
I'll be doing a feature on the car soon. Hopefully the new or old owner will bring it down to the show we have planned in April. The old owner, should he still have it then, has expressed interest in coming down.
He was a very nice guy. He also happens to have an early '80's 245 in bright yellow with a 5.0 Converse Engineering transplant that he did himself.
