Well, we may have found a suitable 245. It's 1 owner and a '90. Metallic gray and automatic. It's nothing high on the performance ladder, but a good basis for some upgrades. It's a PA car, so we're going to check it out and maybe buy it this weekend.

The real strength here is that it is not a hateful color (found a tan one with 80k miles), and it was bought from and serviced at the same PA dealer its whole life. It's currently at a Volvo only used car dealer/ service place and they picked it up from the original dealer where it was traded. That used dealer just did a 60K mile service to it, timing belt etc. so the piece of mind factor is big and that's good in the eyes of both my wife and I.

Well, I did it today. I drove to PA to pick up the car. It's a dark gray/black interior '90 DL 245 with power windows and a third seat. I like it, but it needs a little work, and the auto tranny setup leaves it just a tad slower than our 854R.

Congrats. Now you just need to track down that guy in New Zealand who makes bell housings to connect the B230 to the mid-80's Toyota Supra 5-speed manual boxes, and then get a one piece aluminum driveshaft made up. Turbo the motor... throw a briefcase of cash to Ipd for suspension upgrades... etc.

cheers,
scott
