Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone else has the following issue and if they have a resolution!

Thanks,
Craig

I have a 2023 XC60 mild hybrid with 360 view cameras, it seems every other time I drive the car the 360 cameras show up with the error "Camera is unavailable Service Required" but when it occurs is fairly inconsistent, sometimes when it rains, other times it's been sunny and warm.

I complained about this late last year but got the car back with no fault found.

I then had it serviced in January where the dealer told me the issue has been resolved with a software update.

Not long after it happened again and I plugged an obde fault reader into it with the error on screen which also returned nothing.

Any advice or recommendations is appreciated!

I believe this is a software bug in the Google powered system. Reboot the system by pressing and holding the button below the screen for about 20 seconds. It'll go to screen cleaning mode first, but keep holding until the screen goes black. It'll take about 1 minute for the system to reboot. Until then, there'll be no audio (not even turn signal sounds) but the car can still be safely driven.

I think you need to go to the dealer. I've had mine since 2022.5 and that has never happened.

This happens to me intermittently but I can't really go two days without seeing it at least once, and it will last the entirety of the drive. When I went for my first service I told the dealer about it but they told me that they couldn't replicate it and they can't do anything about unless it throws a code -- my rep did tell me to try to bring it by when it happens and so they can see if it throws a code when the Infotainment is giving the 'Service Required' message... but honestly I don't get into my car for leisure drives, I'm trying to get things done and so I'm not about to abandon my plans to go out of my way to go to the dealer.

What's funny to me is the day I was there getting my car serviced, there was another customer with the same complaint.

You mentioned you took it to the dealer and they couldn't find a fault. Did the acknowledge the issue? You said it's nearly every other time, so it should be easy to replicate. Then they should have gone through Volvo's chain until it's resolved.

On the first visit they couldn't find a fault, then when it happened again I took it there but the issue went away. They acknowledged the issue but advised it was fixed with a software patch - for a while I thought that did fix it but it persists and still occurs. I need to take it into a dealer again when it happens but it comes and goes and I rarely drive the car specifically to check for this fault.

FWIW, I've started to get that message too. It will pop up just as I start the car and then it goes away. So, I agree with those above who view it as a software problem.
