Hi all, just joined today! I'm looking to factory order an S60 Ultimate Dark and the dealer called me back to say their build slots are only for Ultimate Bright, and a build date of March.
So dealerships only get builds for dark or bright? Seems a minor thing to swap out the grille and badges, but there you have it. Anyone know how to find out who has dark build slots, or should I just call all the local dealers?
You could check out cars.com or any other site that you can view nationwide inventory. looks like there's ~5 ultimate darks, you could see if any of those dealers are close to you and you could buy and drive
Just checked out the v60 at Walnut Creek online.. was considering just buying this one and not waiting for my thunder order slated sometime in 2023. went through some numbers on their website and it looks like they have a $15k mark up 😬
Welp, got the news I'd somehow expected but was still dreading. My dealer got an update from Volvo and all their 2023 allocations for the V60 PE have been cancelled due to factory backlog. I am super disappointed.
Is this a common thing? When you say you expected this, is this something I should worry about too? I think I have an allocation for osd but do I need to look for a new car just in case
the dealer I have my order through told me they have an allocation that hasn't been reserved yet. I also did some googling and Volvo in Ramsey NJ looks like they have a v60 polestar on the lot according to the website but I haven't called them about it - if you want to travel or ship
For anyone still following here... I just want to say, if you're waiting for this car, it's worth the wait.
I just picked up mine in FL and drove it back to CA. 3000+ miles already through heat & humidity, rain, a blizzard, high and low elevation. It just crushes anything you throw at it, full charge or empty.
Happy to answer any questions from my experience so far. There are a couple small things that are annoying, but they seem to be common complaints. I have had 0 issues with AAOS so far though.
I'm not really one for the spotlight or who goes fishing for compliments, but I legit got a positive comment on the car at almost every single gas station stop. It's a damn good looking ride.
Somewhere in Texas another gray V60 rolled past me. They honked and waved. It's a small group of us with these things.
I’m picking up your car’s exact Thunder Grey twin this weekend here in the LA area. It will be replacing my ‘18 V90 R Design with the rear air suspension. It’s been a fantastic car but the T6 is thirsty around town. I had a ‘16 V60 Polestar before this car, so I‘m interested where you have the Ohlins set to. The V90 is actually quite sporty but I know the V60 will be stiffer. I wish the new car was also Bursting Blue but what can we do….Volvo loves their 24 different grey options!
